I first fell in love with Martyn's music when a friend gave me Bothy Culture for a birthday present. I couldn't have asked for a more uplifting, amazing, wonderful present.
Having friends who live on Mull, and who met Martyn, I wish I could have told him face to face how much of an inspiration he has been... and how many time I have had sore feet from dancing to his music with friends!

i first heard martyn's music playing in a surf shop in Tofino, British Columbia. The spirit of Tofino alone is pure and it's energy can not be described in words. Martyn's music added more positive, exhillerating energy to that atmosphere that I was in last summer. It was simply moving; perfect in a wayand though his physical presence is gone, his spirit will live on forever, especially through his inspiring music.

Oh, until today I had no idea that Martyn died one year ago. How sad! I saw him in concert at a festival here in Sweden circa 10 years ago. Awesome! The audience was amazed. I recall hearing the show on the local radio station as well. Then I forgot about mr Bennett. But last week at a flea market I stumbled over his self titled CD for a bargain. But I had no idea...
