Kirsten Bennett : Patron |
Kirsten lives on the Isle of Mull. Kirsten is a founding member of the Trust along with BJ and Chris.
One of Kirsten's main roles has been to work closely with and guide the musician friends of the Trust, in relation to performances, commissions and new recording projects.

BJ Stewart : Treasurer |
Bj is based in Edinburgh and was one of Martyn's closest friends. He is a professional photographer and is responsible for the best known images of Martyn.
BJ has worked with Karl on this website, was behind producing 'Martyn's wee book' and has generally taken a lead on publicity for the Trust. He works alongside the other Trustees and Associate Trust Members organising and arranging concerts, fundraising and the running of the Mull Grand Traverse. Bj is also the Treasurer of the Trust.

Chris MacLullich : Chair |
Chris was also a good friend of Martyn. He is based in Edinburgh but has roots in Benbecula where he goes whenever he can. He works between directing a social work employment agency in Scotland and development projects in Latin America focusing on the rights of indigenous peoples.
Chris plays an organisational role in the Trust and works on the Trust’s projects and fundraising activities.

Mary Ann Kennedy : Trustee |
Mary Ann Kennedy is a Glasgow Gael, now living in Lochaber where she and her husband, Nick Turner, run Watercolour Music Studios in the idyllic West Highlands . A trad music background and a classical training coupled with seventeen years’ experience working with the BBC has established her as a major figure in the Scottish music scene, equally respected as a performer and as an authoritative commentator on world, classical, traditional and folk music.
Mary Ann's musical career covers several roles as performer, producer, writer and teacher. She has won several major awards, including the Concours Internationale de l'Harpe Celtique and both National Mod Gold Medals. Her band, Cliar, won the all-time Best Album accolade at the inaugural Scots Trad Music Awards, and earned her a Saltire Award.
Her broadcast credits include radio work for BBC Radio Scotland, BBC Radio 3, RTE and BBC Radio nan Gaidheal, and presentation and performance on BBC Scotland, BBC2, TG4 and BBC4, fronting major series and specials on world and traditional Scottish and Irish music.
Mary Ann was named Radio Presenter of the Year at the 2007 International Celtic Media Awards.
